FAQ for Tuition Rates
The cost of home tuition ranges from $25 to $130 per hour, and it varies depending on the tutors’ experience and qualifications. These rates are determined based on extensive data gathered from a diverse group of home tutors in Singapore. We continually update our home tuition rate chart to reflect the current market rates in the tutoring industry.
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the provided tutor, just let us know. We will then terminate the tutoring arrangement with that tutor. Please ensure that all tuition fees due are paid to us, and we will allocate the tutor’s portion accordingly. Following this, you can choose to request a replacement tutor or discontinue your tutoring arrangement with us.
Tutors determine their own home tuition rates. We do not establish the tuition fees but offers an accurate representation of the current market rate for home tuition services. Each tutor sets their tuition fees based on various factors, including experience, qualifications, and any associated travel expenses.
Payment is due to us at the end of the second week of lesson. We offer various payment methods, including PayNow and Bank Transfer. Starting from the third week of lessons, parents have the option to make tuition fee payments directly to the tutor using a mutually agreed-upon payment method, which typically includes options like Cash, PayNow, or Bank Transfer.
We provide our matching services to clients at no cost. Clients are only obligated to cover the fees for lessons that have been scheduled and conducted. Typically, our commission is the tuition fees for first 2 weeks of lessons (or as otherwise specified). This sum will be subtracted from the tutor’s earnings. We do not charge GST, so there is absolutely no hidden cost for our service.
Engaging a tutor with us does not entail any long-term commitments. Clients have the freedom to discontinue the services of a tutor at any time if they are not satisfied. In such cases, they would only be required to pay for the tuition fees as per the agreed-upon home tuition rates. Upon confirming a lesson, we will furnish both clients and tutors with specific guidelines regarding cancellations and postponements to ensure equitable treatment for both parties.
